What is the Barry PTA?
PTA stands for Parent Teacher Association, and we’re a registered nonprofit dedicated to making every child’s potential a reality. Our mission? To engage and empower families and the community to advocate for our kids.
At Barry Elementary, the PTA is made up of parents, family members, school staff, teachers, administrators, and neighbors who all work together to make our school an even better place to learn and grow.
Why Join the Barry PTA?
Joining the PTA is one of the easiest ways to show your student you’re invested in their education—and it makes a real difference! Your membership helps fund enrichment programs, classroom supplies, equipment, and fun events that wouldn’t be possible otherwise.
As a member, you can:
✔ Volunteer on a committee
✔ Attend meetings and vote on decisions
✔ Share your ideas and feedback
Whether you’re able to volunteer regularly or just show your support by joining, you’re sending a powerful message to your child: their education matters to you!
Plus, PTA meetings and events are a great way to meet other parents, teachers, and staff, and to have a voice in shaping your child’s experience at Barry Elementary. Every dollar we spend is discussed and voted on by our members—your voice truly counts!
Membership & Involvement
Annual membership dues are just $10 per person. This fee covers state and national PTA dues and directly supports our Barry Pirates by funding class parties, special events, and more!
Everyone’s welcome—parents, teachers, staff, grandparents, and community supporters alike.
We meet on the first Tuesday of each month at 6pm in the Barry Collaboration Room. There’s no requirement to attend every meeting, but we’d love to see you there! And we always appreciate extra helping hands and friendly faces at our events.
Together, we can help make Barry Elementary the best it can be!
