Anne Hayes
5th Grade Teacher
Barry Elementary
Hi! Welcome to 5th Grade! I am very excited to be teaching with the 5th grade team at Barry Elementary! I have 17 years of teaching experience here in Missouri at both the 4th and 5th grade level. I received an Elementary Education Bachelor of Science degree from Missouri Western State University and a Masters of Education in Elementary Administration from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
In 2005, my husband and I were transferred to London, UK where I had the opportunity to substitute teach at the American School of London. During the course of our time there, I became a mom to my first son, Connor. We were also able to travel and visit many other parts of Europe during our time as expats. It was truly an amazing experience to have been able to live and teach abroad!
My husband and I now have two boys, Connor and Caiden. My oldest son will be a Senior in high school, and my youngest son will be a Sophmore in high school this year. Both boys play baseball, and our family can often be spotted cheering them on from the ball field on the weekends. We love to spend time as a family and enjoy being outdoors exploring new places together. We can often be found going on walks, fishing, boating, riding bikes, or playing baseball in the backyard. When we are not outside, we enjoy just watching a movie or doing puzzles.
I really enjoy teaching 5th grade and helping my students grow in their learning each day. I am looking forward to a fantastic school year at Barry Elementary!
