I am excited to be a part of the Platte County Pirate family and I love being a second grade teacher! When I am not at school I am a mom to four amazing children, Adalee, Ellie, Linley, and William. My wonderful husband, Bill and I enjoy watching our kids play sports, various outdoor activities, reading, and watching movies. William is currently serving in the United States Navy. Linley is married and I have a granddaughter, Kollyns. Ellie and Addie go to school in Smithville. Ellie is a high school senior who is on the student council and enjoys playing softball and wrestling. Addie is a sophomore. She enjoys playing softball, wrestling, track, and theater. Most nights, you will find our family at the softball fields or at a wrestling match.

I have degrees from the University of Missouri-Columbia (MU) and Park University in Elementary Education, Special Education: Cross Categorical Disabilities, and K-12 Reading Specialist. I began teaching first grade in 2003 and then moved to second grade in 2015.
