Welcome to 5th grade at Pathfinder Elementary!
I have been teaching in Platte County since 2018 and love being a Pirate! I graduated from Park University (also the home of the Pirates!) and have my Master's from SBU. I love learning, and I hope to instill a love of learning in your child as well.
As a teacher, I value student choice, making learning fun and relevant, and building life skills that will extend beyond the classroom. In our classroom, we are a family. All students are welcome and every voice matters. All students can learn and want to learn. It is my job to meet them where they are and help them to keep moving forward.
In my free time, I like to seek out new adventures. Often, I find that adventure in the pages of a book, a new recipe, or exploring the great outdoors! I am looking forward to the new adventures this year brings, and I'm excited to make it the best year ever!
