Vuagniaux Elisa

Hi, I’m Elisa Vuagniaux and I am elated to be part of Barry Elementary as your child’s kindergarten teacher. I started teaching in 2006 and hold a Bachelor of Science in Human Environmental Science from University of Missouri-Columbia, a Master of Arts in Education, specializing in Early Childhood and Education Specialist in Educational Leadership K-12 from Northwest Missouri State University. When I am not in the classroom, I am actively cheering my kiddos on and running around with our Aussiedoodle. My children, Paxton, Theo and Isla are quite the explorers, and I love watching them find their joy in life. And a summer is never complete without our annual beach trip.


The heart of my classroom is building relationships and connecting with each child. Classroom experiences are collaborative and cultivate autonomy, while growing a positive, caring climate. I love tapping into each child’s interests to help guide classroom instruction so as to create a place to learn, grow and thrive.
